Purpose and Objectives of the Role

Servicing and repair of the company’s Critical Power and client generators. A company van (no private use) and fuel card (no private use) are provided. National and international travel will be required.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Service and repair the company’s Critical Power and client generators.
• Liaise with the Service Co-ordinator to plan own works.
• Liaise with the Projects and Sales teams for new work and site surveys.
• Oversee and lead generator projects.
• Book in generator services and surveys for all kit on site.
• Use time in the depot to train others on basic tasks.
• Look for opportunities to grow the fleet and expand services.
• Weekly check-in with the Head of Field Service.
• Actively engage with Health & Safety initiatives.
• Actively seek engineering and Health & Safety improvements.
• Attend factory and site acceptance tests (FAT/SAT) on behalf of the business and represent the company in a professional capacity in front of clients, both in the UK and abroad.
• Assist with site installations, cable installations and similar works during quieter periods and when workload dictates.
• Compile and draft RAMS for all generator works.
• Ensure completion of all daily, weekly and task-specific documentation.
• Liaise with clients on site and resolve issues.
• Any other duties reasonably requested.

Qualifications and Experience

• Experience creating RAMS.
• GCSE or equivalent.
• Previous generator experience / qualifications.
• ECS / CSCS card.
• Mechanical and electrical experience necessary.
• Deep Sea Electronics (DSE), ComAp or DIEF controller experience.
• Generator-to-generator synchronisation experience.
• AGS, mains and standby applications.
• HV experience.
• Loadbank experience.
• PLC experience (nice to have).
• Engine experience.
• Fuel systems experience.
• Minor and major service experience.
• Building integration experience.
