Job Purpose
To supervise on-site operation and maintenance activities, ensuring the safe, reliable and efficient performance of power generation equipment while leading maintenance teams and supporting asset reliability and operational excellence.
Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Lead and supervise the site maintenance team.
- Oversee preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Supervise minor and major generator repairs and overhauls.
- Ensure compliance with SOPs and safety standards.
- Drive reliability improvement and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) initiatives.
- Analyse performance data and support condition monitoring activities.
- Monitor generator performance, alarms and system malfunctions.
- Optimise load control and generator operation.
- Monitor generator SMU and coordinate maintenance requirements
Job Details
- Working days: 6 days per week.
- Working hours: 6am – 6pm.
- Location: site based (indoor and outdoor).

Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Power Plant Engineering.
Required Experience
- Minimum 5–8 years of hands-on experience in operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and overhaul of large-bore medium-speed diesel generator sets.
- Minimum 5–10 years of experience in a supervisory role managing mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and rotating equipment technicians.
Desired Experience (Optional)
- Experience with CAT 3600 Series generator engines.
- Experience working with Heavy Fuel Oil (HFO) and Crude Fuel Oil (CFO) engine systems.
- Experience with CMMS platforms, preferably Maximo.
- Experience with MV generators / alternators, preferably ABB alternators.
- Experience in generator commissioning and recommissioning activities.
