Our client is looking for an experienced planner to manage the scheduling and timelines of the production process to ensure the company meets all deadlines. This includes managing material and equipment availability, scheduling production and monitoring the production process for problems.
Key responsibilities:
- Planning, scheduling and coordinating production of orders on time and to the quality standards set by the business and agreed with the Customer and share requirements internally via issuing the Weekly Production Schedule.
- Evaluating raw materials and equipment to ensure everything is in place for production.
- Ensuring that all new Customer orders are monitored and all Job Cards are produced in a timely manner and that orders are then included in the Production Schedule.
- Ensure that all product for each order is picked well in advance of production requirement and liaising with Procurement to ensure that shortfalls in products are ordered for delivery in time for production of order to meet Customer due dates.
- Working with the Operations Manager to resolve any production disruptions and productivity problems.
- Supporting the Operations Manager in meeting production KPI targets and identifying ways to improve production efficiency.
- Responsible for managing all job cards for all orders ensuring that they are accurate and reflect exact Customer requirements.
- Be involved with and support any audits within your department and comply with all internal/external audit resources and certification bodies.
Knowledge, qualifications and experience
- Educational qualifications that demonstrate proficiency in English and Maths.
- Excellent IT skills
- Confident and Polite telephone manner.
- Clean Driving Licence

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000/annum + Excellent benefits
